The Diane Art Journal is named after my middle sister, who has a quiet spark of mischief and joy. Always the shenanigans starter with rarely the blame, she was the one leading the way in our adventures, whether it was a card game or a spontaneous drive to nowhere. Thirteen years my elder, Diane was my “third mom,” and her storytelling was magical, weaving tales effortlessly that left me in awe.
I grew up watching her create, from tole painting with acrylics to teaching me how to cross-stitch at a young age, I wanted nothing more than to be as talented as she was, and now her spirit of creativity is captured in this art journal.
